1. Brief Description of the Technique
As study techniques/method, 'rule of 5' refer to process of numerically describing and explaining all/some of the key points (before/while/after studying)!
- Describing and explaining: The number of key points could be 3/4/5...10...; it doesn't matter! The main purpose is numerically describing and explaining all/some of the key points!
- General Technique: 'rule of 5' is general study technique which can be used for any subject, any content/topic and by any student.
- Deep understanding: 'rule of 5' is one the smart study techniques that enable students to get deep understanding of a given topic!
2. Application of the Technique
As it is said above, the technique could be used for any subject, any content/topic and by any student.
Let's see how to apply!
- First, describe the key points numerically; then, list/mention and explain each of them!
- For example, let's say you have studied "simple present tense". After you study you could say "There are 7 key points under this topic!"
- 2 key points under forms: list/mention and explain them
- 5 key points under uses: there are 5 common uses of simple present tense list/mention and explain them.

3.1. Afan Oromo Version: Rules of 5
Kabajamtoota barattoota, mallii "Rule of 5..." (akka tooftaa qo'annaatti), mala mata dureewwan/ qabxiilee ijoo baranne ykn qo'anne hunda/ muraasa isaanii, lakkoofsaan kaayuun, bal'inaan ibsuuti (yeroo qo'annu, eega qo'anne boodaa fi qo'annaan duratti)!

3.2. Amharic Version: Rule of 5
ውድ ተማሪዎች 'Rule of 5' ያጠናነውን/እያጠናን ያለነውን/ልናጠና የምንሄደውን ርዕሶች ወይም ቁልፍ ነጥቦች በቁጥር የማስቀመጥ (describe) ና የማብራራት ስልት ነው።
- ቁጥሮቹ 4ም፣ 5ም... 20ም ሊሆኑ ይችላሉ፤ ዋናው ነገር ያጠናችሁትን/የተማራችሁትን ቁልፍ ነጥቦች ለይታችሁ አውቃችሁ፣ በቁጥር ጠቅሳችሁ፣ ዘርዝራችሁ፣ ማስቀመጥ ና ማብራራት መቻሉ ላይ ነው!
- ውድ ተማሪዎች ይሄን ስልት (Rule of 5 ...) ለማንኛውም የትምህርት አይነት፣ ለማንኛውም ርዕስ ና ለማንኛውም ተማሪ የሚሰራ ምርጥ የጥናት ስልት ነው!
